They together share the active relationships between the poetic and the non-verbal communications in what means Still Life in the modern way.
Traditional Still Life has often been associated with the passage of time; includes all kinds of man-made or natural objects, cut flowers, fruit, vegetables, fish, wine and so on. Still life can be a celebration of material pleasures such as food and wine, or often a warning of the ephemerality of these pleasures and of the brevity of human life (memento mori).
Something is changing…these 6 artists show a contemporary alternative to the conventional and formalist view.
