Angel Gambin Parallés

Angel Gambin Parallès is a Spanish artist and architect born in Alicante on the 22nd of August 1959. His training began in his father’s architectural study where he started drawing at the age of four. Aged 15 he started going to the design and applied art school of Alicante and began studying architecture aged 18.

In the ’80s he began working as an architect, but continued drawing at the same time. In 1990 he gives his works an aesthetic direction heading towards expressionism, first abstract and then more figurative.

His most important work in the altarpiece for the “Cristo Resuscitando” church in the ecumenical centre of Orihuela, Alicante, also architecturally designed by him. More recently he held art exhibitions in many European countries and art fairs in San Sebastiàn (Spain), Essen and Berlin (Germany) and Stockholm (Sweden).
