Dialogue on the theme of “Woman in Art” from 5.00 pm with the artists present

Werkkunst Gallery joins the discussion “what does it mean to be a woman in art”? Are women represented fairly in the arts?

According to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, 51% of visual artists today are women. But when it comes to exhibitions and gallery representation, the numbers tell a less optimistic story. In London, for example, 78% of the galleries represent more men than women, while only 5% represent an equal number of male and female artists.

So, what can we do to more fairly represent women in the arts?

Our gallery opens its doors for a group show composed exclusively by women artists and invites you to join the discussion in an afternoon debate with strong female personalities. Join us!
